Established in 2004, Oxygen’s strategy
is to publish quality affordable social and lifestyle based video
games, whilst minimising the risks normally associated with video
game publishing.
With over 40 products launched on Sony Playstation
2, Sony Portable, Nintendo GBA and PC CD Rom, the next few years
will see Oxygen’s
games portfolio expanding onto Playstation 3, Nintendo DS, Nintendo
Wii and Microsoft Xbox 360 whilst continuing to support Sony Playstation
2, Sony PlayStation Portable and PC CD Rom formats.
Key titles launched include the critically acclaimed Prostroke
Golf:World Tour 2007, which has shipped in excess of 250,000 units
worldwide and PDC World Championship Darts which is achieving strong
sales in the UK.
To strengthen its development Oxygen recently established its
own studio – “Oxygen Interactive Studios” based
in Croydon London to focus on technology and IP development, to
increase the company’s ability to react to market changes.

The company’s global distribution
network now spans over 30 countries. While ambitious, Oxygen has
remained risk-averse, and has focused on reinvesting profits into
growth. This has included the progressive expansion of its core
team – now with 35 employees worldwide, Oxygen has substantial
talent to support its increasing success. The company's solid growth
has required expansion of its facilities, and it has purchased
a new building for its UK Head Office.
In line with its growth forecasts, in 2006 Oxygen established
an U.S. office in Van Nuys, California and 2007 will see further
regional offices in Europe established.
With the transition period now over Oxygen’s product strategy
and infrastructure, allied with its internal development studio
and established regional offices, the company is well placed to
exceed the growth of the market in the coming years.
