Oxygen is always keen to recruit outstanding people, and if the right person walks through the door we will find them a place in marketing, sales, development liaison or operations – regardless of whether or not we have a formal “vacancy”. There are two ways of looking at Oxygen. You could look at us as a low profile publishing company, with a targeted product mix that isn’t going to win any industry awards. Naturally we could change all this by spending more money - and if you want to work for a company that spends money liberally, and cares more about awards than profits, then there are other companies out there for you who will have bigger offices, easier workloads and more predictable work. |
Alternatively, you could see us as a company that has grown rapidly based on its own efforts, made profits through a tough trading period, and has regularly achieved results which a company of our structure should not by rights have achieved. To be blunt, we routinely get told that what we are doing is “impossible” or “won’t work” – and we just go ahead and prove the doubters wrong…. Working like this is not easy, but it is intensely satisfying and profitable.
